Smev's bikes probably got a higher spec than alot of race bikes, its not exactly a stock nc lol

Fit a race battery instead of lightening the stock flywheel? you'll save more weight?
what flywheel have you got? I looked into the gsxr one and it cost 100's, cant afford that and its not the static weight im looking to save, its inertia on the crank, same reason people do total loss but I have to keep the charging system so looking just to improve it as much as possible.

oh and I already have a race battery :grin:

K7 gsxr1000 :)

cost me £75.00 and i fabricated a bracket to hold the windings myself. lumi-welded to the inside so no drilling.

Flywheel, Genny, Some lumiweld, turned down some aluminium bar to make a bracket that was welded in place inside the genny (after removing the baffle), tagged a brass tag inside there too to keep the wires out of the way..

Spades / Crimps / etc.

took the best part of a day to get it all fitted properly.

Since its a 3 phase it just connects directly to the reg/rec (in my care a gsx-r one)
