Nick

if you are trying to get front sprocket off, lift the flap of the securing washer behind the nut and use 30mm / 32mm socket along with along bar over ratchet 1/2" ratchet preferably and then get some one to sit on bike whilst on paddock stand and press down rear brake and also have in 1st gear. Now use lever for sometimes ratchet gun does not work... first time... when you start pushing against the bar you might fly forward after a big click from the socket nut.

It's off!!!!!!!

Gave up trying brute force and bought this;

Few seconds of rattle and hey presto!

If i'd known it would be that simple i would have done it first, but as the saying goes 'hindsight is the most exact science'

Zombie thread..

1WG-16357-01-00 ROD < I've goggled this as the clutch rod for a 3HE motor

It also brought me here..funnily enough but Nick's is a 3TJ.

I know they all have 1WG in there..so is 1WG-16357-01-00 ROD the right pushrod for me and where canm I get one?

:rocks:

I don't know the number - strangely !!!
Just order one through Fowlers in Bristol, you'll need your frame number, there's an oil seal for them too, best to renew it.

Got loads, like 20 ish!

Cover cost of post and you can have one. There are several different style from year to year with different weak spots built in but all do the same job.

@CMSMJ1
the part number appears to be the same for both
number 14 on this list
http://62.5.189.98/yamahaeur/exist/moto ... E1/CLUTCH/

worth hitting the fav button even if KIYOSHI has one, as it also has the part numbers for just about everything for the 3tj
