Well, it's been working again.

Been out on it a bit and seems alright??

Guessing it's better to actually get it out on the road and under load rather then just idle and rev it outside the garage, anyway, I bought some fuel additive and will get that in over the next few tanks. Can only assume that it was gummed up or crap in the carbs or something.

Will keep you posted, I'm planning on the bike being used on a regular basis rather than be sat in a garage doing nowt which it has been before I got it

too be honest mate, these little bikes dont like standing around from what i can gather. i bought a second hand engine, it must of been stood around for a while, the valves were in a pitifull state. id ride it, i love um

It does sound a bit 'throaty' on the over run but not sure if that's how these 400's sound??

It pulls well and sounds good when you've got it open so I'm presuming it's alright..

It does feel saggy, suspension wise. I've seen the threads about putting an old CBR600 rear shock in so might get one of e-bay. Isn't there a fella on here that sells modified shock linkages or something as you need to cut something out??

Also front forks. DO people just put heavy fork oil in or pregressive springs and heavier oil?

Just wondering if some Thundercat shocks would fit in?? Or too big/too long? It's for the missus as a beginner bike but I want to take it out and 'give it some' as it were too I LOVE THIS BIKE

Oh and lastly, I've seen KPH to MPH converters, does this work as a simple gearing mechanism going into the clocks so that the speed goes in MPH and does it also make the distance counter work in miles instead of km's?
