Re: Project VFR
Looking good Smev, noticed you're interested in the suzuka nose, this would be a big help in terms of relocating your ignition as you can mount it where the right hand (as you sit on the bike) headlight would be, all you have to do is lengthen the ignition connection. Not long relocated my ignition there, infact I have a bastardised loom which I've been using for alterations to my own loom and could pop some of the appropriate coloured wire to suit into a jiffy bag if that would help.
So then, that would be a Ducati front end, vfr750 rear wheel, suzuka nose......hmmm ever considered a Mito rear?!!!

I'm only messing, looking great, keep up the good work and updates

Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.

Re: Project VFR
You know I realised that the other day!! Great minds think alike!! But in totally different colours I'm sure they'd look different.
Unfortunately the tyga fairing is up near Wolverhampton and too far for me to pop up and collect. so i won't be doing that - don't worry!!
I worked out last night that thats where the ignition has to relocate! There is absolutely no where else it could go - I was thinking of making some sort of bracket at work to mount it up there behind the light.
Don't think I'll do the Mito seat unit either - i have my sprayed undertray which looks good when its all together.
Some extra correct colour wire would be great - if you have a little spare. It almost reaches at a stretch but that doesn't allow for the forks when turning.
On the subject of forks - did you make any steering stops? - I have Rick O rads which i just want to make sure don't get hit by a fork when/if i use full lock.

I'll pop round my mates lock up and rob some of the excess cable (It's there having its re-wiring done for the cbr600rr clocks at the moment), if you could send me a pm with your address and I'll send it off.
As far as the bodywork goes I'm only messing around I don't mind if someone else does the same, I tried about 4 variations as far as body work went, it just took me ages to find the silouette I was after (by that I mean the shape, not the body work of the same name, infact I had and then sold a silhouette nose in favour of the Tyga one). I really looking forward to seeing your project finished, the stobard bodywork looks great in the picture in the gallery.
I've made up some lock stops using fork crash bobbins (like skateboard wheels), threaded bar, spacers and nylockers, all fitted through the top mounting point of the meter stay/headstock. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures on the computer of that - I could try and get some photos but it might take a while as my digi camera is knackered, plus being away from the bike atm.

Re: Project VFR
I hope its ready for the track day else I've just wasted £60!!
Seriously though it should only be a week or two before its done - just getting the fairing stay respayed as the carbon fibre effect one does look naff as others pointed out earlier in the thread - i don't know what I was thinking
that leaves the brakes to bleed -
exhaust can to fit properly,
ignition to relocate,
some steering stops to sort out
then fit the fairing,
and make sure the track fairing fits ok
and just some fine tuning!!
Not too much just enough to keep me going -
I'll try to get it down to Alton Cafe or Loomies on a wednesday night, or maybe over to Boxhill on a sunday
The track by the way on camp here at Odiham is a good laugh - loads of runoff for any late braking attempts!, it super grippy, its a right handed circuit too as most people prefer it that way, theres the chance to go on/in one of the sidecar outfits if you are brave enough, and its pretty relaxed - might even be a chinook display at the lunch break.
