This is how it came out. I thought I might zip tie it to the frame to follow it better but it looked like hell so I'm going to try it this way and see how it goes.

It sure cleans things up in between the headers.

I think I'm missing pieces for the bottom rad. The tube closest to the rad fits the outlets on the rad itself. The two others do not. They fit the tubes coming out of the heads. As usual for race stuff, it eliminates the thermostat but there must be some sort of piece that includes the radiator cap that I'm missing.

I'm finally getting around to starting the painting process. The stickers look pretty good so I'll start sanding down the panels tomorrow. I know Lucky Strikes have been done to death but love the old Suzuka GSXR's

Yes , looks nice on the cradle frame gsxr.
You got any close ups of the swing arm, would like to get a copy made for the sp at some time.

I don't have any better pics of the swing arm at the moment. The best place to find pics quickly might be pbmagfroum.co.uk For a while someone had an endurance race pic thread and one on works swing arms.

I've finally made some progress on the painting. I have the base coat and most of the stickers down. So far so good. I need to come up with a solution for the front number plate. The sticker kit included plates for the rear but since I have the Suzuka style upper I have to either tape it off or have a custom black decal made.

I also bought this cool sticker for the ignition barrel

Variable,
I owe you a huge thank you with all the help you provided me on the build! All the SP2 stuff wouldn't have been possible without your help. Thanks again!

I also can't stress enough, how important this forum is for information. From peoples suggestions, to photos, to older posts (carbs and electronics specifically). Everything was a huge help!!!!!

Ye, had fun putting the SP motor on a pallet but got there in the end.

Not many people crazy enough to find and then ship an engine halfway around the world, to themselves!!

Well done, top man. :peace:

Well done chap, you've ended up with a fantastic looking machine. Great perseverance, so many folk give up on rebuild/resto/mod projects (I'm one of them  ) but you got there and the result is impressive.
