quick one, seal up the ends of the subframe as water can get down them and then get trapped and rust the subframe from the inside out, I put expanding foam in mine then capped it off with some clear mastic.

Also where did you get your clear breather hose from any hose I get the ID is always to small to go over the breather!

I thought that May have happened I'll get something to get it blocked up so it doesn't rust. The pipe is just clear garden hose off eBay, think you can specify the id you want but there aren't many options, the fit is tight too I'll see if I can find you a link later today.

So another little update from today, after removing some of the unneeded road gear.

Lights and speedo removed also swapped the bars for my SES ones:



Got rid of the chain guard, I much prefer the look of the back end without one:

however there is the issue of what to do with the brake hose, I don't fancy removing the swinger just to drill it and route the hose through there so I put my extensive bodging skills to good use:



And I've also picked up what I hope is an NC35 wheel that was cheap enough even for a stingy git like me to pay for it can somebody confirm it is actually a 17' wheel? I'm unsure where to measure from.




Looks right if you measure from the inside of the lip but I just wanted to confirm.

Oh and hodge I've found an item number for that hose: 170551759125

Kieran, if you want to be sure if that is a genuine 17inch rear wheel off an NC35...look at the innerside of all 8 spokes, you should see: 1 17XMT4,50 DOT Q ASAHITEC or similar size but after the Q ENKEI (I believe only 2 companies in Japan produced the rear wheels for Honda factory).

Ive just looked at a photo of somebody measuring an 18' rear and it looks like mine is the real deal, what makes you think otherwise Tony mate?

Well i can't say I've ever measured a wheel but id guess you'd do it from the outside edge to outside edge of which from your photos makes it 18". I take it you've confirmed its a 17" now by the markings on the rear?

I think you measure from the tyre bead seat instead of the outside lip of the rim.

We get this all the time at work as freestyle BMX wheels are called 20" but the rims aren't actually 20", only 20" with a tyre on them. BMX racers get proper upty about it as they use "true 20s" and start arguing with us over the phone......
