But, I did pop the battery on charge last night, the fuel has been in there since about september..

I'll be going for the full choke, no throttle..when it catches, I'll release my choke (racer cic ziptie) and I'll hold the throttle open a teeny tiny bit.

Let me see what goes on..might be some really boring footage soon.

Neo, i have a new battery and i charge it every time i used it to try and start the bike.. i have been doing everything you told me for the past 3 days. the bike does not start.

i charged the battery overnight, i took my plugs out, let the cylinders dry overnight, i wire brushed the plugs nice and clean, i torched them properly, i put my plugs back in, HT leads back in, full choke, no throttle, and also... NO START, it just doesnt start. i dont know what else i am doing wrong? maybe my idler is not set right, and i dont know where its meant to be set at, i can look at the idler from underneath the bike, and as soon as the cable pushes the butterflies open, i stop increasing the idler, maybe thats not enough? maybe i need to increase the idler? i dont know. but what i do know is, when i try what you guys said, it wont work. so i am listening Neo,

i am going to glasgow tonight for auditions, and wont be back till tuesday. il try it once more on wednesday, and if it doesnt work, the carbs, plugs, CDI's are getting shipped to Ricky.

Are you sure the choke is working/connected?

Other than the obvious

Battery charged
Fuel
Vacuum hose
Rectifier plugged in
Cdi plugged in
Spark plugs are sparking

It should start!

How are you charging the battery? Hopefully with an optimiser and not a car battery charger?

i have an oxford oximiser 900, i connect it to that. choke is working properly and connected properly. everything you mentioned is also connected.

i took the fuel tank off cause the fuel inside the floats should be enough to start the bike. after all the bike is flooded as some of you say.

Have you got a volt meter? Check the battery voltage.

You need at least 12.7v I reckon.
DONT JUST ASSUME YOUR BATTERY IS OK BECAUSE ITS BEEN ON THE OPTIMISER!!!

That might be the same as his spark plugs he never damaged that crumbled on there own!
