I would imagine you wire it into the Ignitech as you can make 3d maps on it if you have a TPS. I don't have a TPS..and wonder from which CBR do you get one?

I'm sure I'll see you at a TD this year fella...you can go for a scoot on my moto and let me know how you like it.

that makes sense, how much are these ignitech cdi's? and are they the ones that rick sells?

im doing brands on the 11th, evening session, be the 1st time out on the NC35 in a long time and since rebuilding it from the frame up so fingers crossed theres no probs.

you doing cadwell PB trackday? im going to watch but i think i read somewhere in the lastest PB mag there doing a extra date at brands, that one i will be doing.

I got my ignitech in the first wave when Zimm organised a try out buy..

Rick sells them with cables etc that you need to plug your pc in.. In all honesty I am not convinced with the mapping on it as I am the only one (I have seen) to do a back to back versus the original and it was 2bhp less...lol

However, the feel of the bike and pickup is better so I am sticking with it.

I guess I need to go look at my maps again.

PB 10th August? Prob going to be on holiday...or I would have been on it 8-)

The TPS is wired to the ignitech and it makes the most of the fuel on partial trottle (if set up for it) giving more torque and better milage. A friend of mine have the set up I mentioned (on his race RVF) and it makes almost the same torque (35Nm) as a G-force 450 motor (36-37Nm), that is really good since a standard motor makes around 26-27Nm.

Where to get the TPS, well would guess that 90's honda TPS would work, it's not rocket sceince.

iv got a 92 uk model nc30, but i run nc35 carbs with full hrc carb kit, runnung the "b" needles on the longest setting, 148/150 mj, hrc vell stacks, hrc slide springs, hrc carb tray and air box with modifyed filter for road use, full tyga system, nc35 cams (longer duration), hrc sp ignition box, thats it on the intake side of things, but it was dynoed at 66bhp wich i was pretty happy with, iv tryed more carb setups than i care to remember and the one i use now gives the best power delivery and fuel consuption, she pulls hard from as low as 4000rpm up to the red line, and has a very healthy mid range, i have a very slight flat spot at 9000rpm but it is hardly noticable, unfortunatly the only set up i found which had no real flat spots made the fuel consumption go through the roof, i was only getting about 55 miles out of a full tank of fuel. so that had to go, unless i take it on a track day, then id use that set up, im sad like that i recorded and made notes on all the set ups i tryed, its a long list let me tell you, anyway hope this info is of some use.

So the TPS affects the ignition timing? Advancing/retarding it depending on TPS and RPMs?

Yes, most importantly it gives the ability to retard the ignition under high load, low rpm conditions where you are very likely to get pinking/knocking, because the ignition box now can see when this is happening, but you ofcourse have to write the ignition table.
overall you get better torque and less fuel usage in the midrange, quite good for a sensor you can get a the breakers and connect to a cheap ignitech box.

How's this system setup? I Spose the best way is to have it on the dyno whilst hooked up to a laptop mapping the ignotion,
