Re: VFR + RVF paint codes
Okay guys just heard back from the chap at http://www.Bike-paint.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with the prices off his paint, the one I enquired about was the white wheel paint for the nc30 - NH-196.
prices are as follows :
400ml aerosol is £19.90 including postage
Paint is also available in tins: 125ml £14.95, 250ml £24.50, 500ml £36.50 and 1 Litre £58.50. All prices are inclusive of postage and packing.
Payment can be made by paypal to sales@bike-paint.co.uk or by cheque
would imagine the other paint codes would be the same price but would advise you to email before you order.
hope thats helps ??!!

Re: VFR + RVF paint codes
I've got some blank panels from Skidmarx that I'm going to paint myself and need some help with paint codes please. My bike is an NC30 (if specifics are needed it's a VFR400R3L) and the code on the bike is NH1K. As far as I can tell that's only the code for the black, so does anyone know what the all important red code is? Also the silver would be much appreciated. I know that at the bottom of CRM's first post on this thread under 'VFR4003L Black/red with silver piece' only the black is listed but i'm holding out hope that maybe someone knows the paint codes for the other colours I need.
Or... here is a picture of my bike:

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what the red and silver paint codes may be? I'm mostly after the red, and even if you don't know for sure, any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if you're familiar with NC30 paint schemes.
And if it helps, mine is a Jap import.
Thanks,
Si

Re: VFR + RVF paint codes
I called Dobles Honda with my paint code, and they told me that the code Honda put on the bikes isn't for an individual colour, but that it's relative to the paint scheme of the bike, so seemingly the only way to get correct paint is to get a bodyshop / paint specialist to match colours from an existing panel.

Re: VFR + RVF paint codes
Indeed... My NC24's all have NH-196 written on them too.SimNC30 wrote:I called Dobles Honda with my paint code, and they told me that the code Honda put on the bikes isn't for an individual colour, but that it's relative to the paint scheme of the bike, so seemingly the only way to get correct paint is to get a bodyshop / paint specialist to match colours from an existing panel.
After a bit of speculation I think thats the base coat color.. i think NH-196 is 'Honda Ross White'
VFR400Z NC21 Type 1: NH-138 (Shasta White)
VFR400Z NC21 Type 2: NH-1 (Black)
VFR400R NC21 Type 3: NC-138 (Shasta White)
VFR400R NC21 Type 4: NH-1 (Black)
VFR400R NC21 Type 5: NC-138 (Shasta White)
VFR400Z NC21 Type 6: NH-1 (Black)
VFR400R NC24 Type 7: NH-1 (Black)
VFR400R NC24 Type 8: NH-196 (Ross White)
VFR400R NC24 Type 9: NH-196 (Ross White)
VFR400R NC24 Type 10: NH-196 (Ross White)
-Edit-
Just had a look in my NC24 parts book as i'm sure there were paint codes in there... and there are :D These are translations from the book, the english names might be slightly different but as long as you have the correct paint code number you won't be far away

The NC21/NC24 paints are as follows

A73 - Gold (Labels)
B43L - Luster Blue (Seats)
NH1 - Black (Black NC21 / NC24 Base)
NH1L - Black (Seats)
NH138 - Shasta White (White NC21 Base)
NH146M - Accurate Silver (Metallic)
NH181M - Flame Alumite Silver (Metallic)
NH196 - Ross White (White NC24 Base)
NH197MU - Karakorum Gray (Metallic / Undercoat Required)
NH211M - Aumite Silver (Metallic / Bike Frame)
PB21L - Butler Blue (Seats)
PB22L - Lagoon Blue (Seats)
PB166 - Wisteria Blue
PB188M - Marshall Blue (Metallic)
R85L- Darling Red (Seats)
R110 - Monza Red
R134 - Fighting Red
Y106 - Clipper Yellow
YR138M - Meteor Gold (Metallic)
Big chart on the first page of the book.. if anyone has the genuine NC30/35 parts books there'll all be in there I should imagine..
