This will not work btw, nc24 are solid plastic not hollow steel.

unless somones changed the pistons as you can get steel and stainless steel pistons for the NC24 as aftermarket replacements...

Pesonally I prefer the steel tipped plastic pistons (don't drill them out though!) :P

wow they do look pretty crappy.

Soak them in parrafin to get all the gunk off em, i find an old stiff paintbrush helps here..

looks like you can see some of the seals comming out the right piston.

The only problem here is that the pistons are £18.00+vat each, then you need the seals too!

I'd get the pistons out, clean everything up / parrafin etc helps here and then report back.

If the pistons have been goosed it might be worthwhile getting a second hand set of calipers with decent pistons and just replacing the seals if need be.

Cheers fella but i intend to replace the pistons on both calipers with all new pistons and seals so thats not a problem especially with breaks i would rather be safe than sorry.

Read my other post as the whole bike is this good. :roll: Hence the project name basket case.
