It still gets a chuckle at work when it's a bank holiday Monday and on the Friday you say "See you next Tuesday". :D

Perhaps I have missed the point here , but why are you poking fun at a chap that has asked a simple question.
He wants to know what the wheels are made of, but if he is new to bikes then how would he have any idea.
They could be made from an aluminium alloy either sand or dye cast, or even forged.
Then again they may be magnesium cast or forged.
When anodised , cast and forged come out a different colour when clear anodised, and the bead blasting is different for aly and mag.
My mag wheels are lighter than my aly ones , but how would I know if I did not have any thing to compare with.
