No, not at all! Doesn't everyone go to the dyno in soaking wet clothes? You need to try it sometime! :)

i think there has been a few valid points made here.....
if you are wanting to go faster and be quicker then start with the tuning the suspension and getting it set up correctly for you.....this will helpp you no ends wheb it comes to riding faster on the twisty roads or on the track.
get yourself a good set of tyres that are great for grip, and that heat up quickly.not great for mileage but that's not what you want
as for tuning the engine,is it really worth it.for the costs which will be a lot you would be as well getting another bike just as was said previously.
ypu could maybe experiment with different sprocket sizes to see if that makes a big difference for you.whether you want faster acceleration or a little more top end.i guarantee you big smiles on your face if you sort the suspension out,get a sticky rear tyre and change the gearing for acceleration :D
i was running a full ethos system,re-jetted to suit with a airbox mod and it was running 61.5bhp.i also dropped a tooth on the front sprocket and for me,the difference in acceleration was noticeable,it was so damn quick to a 100mph!!!!

Hello again,
so to say..... i`ll go to the Dyno first
make the modifications: valve check/balancing/exhaust/airbox/filter/sprocket
and then we go to the dyno again.
Maybe it`s better do do the jets and the needles to improve the midrange also.
Already done: fork upgrade and RC 51 shock (HRC rocker for another ratio are in progress).
A set of Bridgestone slicks for 17/18 inch wheels are on my way also.
On my other Bike (Ducati 748R) wich is only used on the track is in full race mod and the NC30 will go this way for the 3h ClassixEndurance in Oschersleben.

i think 65bhp is achievable but it will come at a price and it might mean more work than just a few bolt on pieces.good luck and i'd be interested to hear who's done what to make 65bhp !
Full ethos, HRC CDI, short bellmouths and 4 hours at GT Dyno with a V4 lord of the sith at the helm....
twis an RVF though....
My CBR is somewhere between 68 + 70 but thats got Full Beet system, skimmed head, rehoned barrels, new pistons, quieting gears removed, HRC CDI and ram air.

this man speakth the truth, you could go all out and spend ££££'s on the motor for 5-6 extra bhp that will make it a dog to ride around town and you'll visit every petrol station you pass or you could swap sprockets and service it so it's running it's best
