Mark just to check, is it just the one shim that is needed to the rebound? and does anyone know what spring id need, im 11 stone in full riding gear

so far iv had prices ranging from £50 to £370 for all the things you said is needed

Yes ...well I had the one fitted. Basically with a spring that is nearly twice as hard you need to be able to control the rebound and with standard it *might* not cope as you would have the rebound turned up a lot.

To stop this and let the adjustment sit in a middle range I was given the extra shim.

You need to ask the suspension people - they will have ideas and probably a chart to match riders to bikes.

fwiw - I got an 875lbs spring and that was when I was 15st..

so just to clarify i need:

a spring for my weight
an extra shim in the rebound
new seals
re gased
and a clean up (possible re anodised)
o and mabe a longer line to the res

have i missed anything?
