havent removed the jets so dont think it would be that

if it is then its a bit beyond me!!

also can i see the exup valve working by just revving the bike or do i have to be in gear for it to operate properly?

Yes you can, you need some on to turn the throtle for you while you watch the valve, and this can be done in neutral, then if it is then road test it. aslo check the fuel pump relay is not cuting out.... while the engin is running to do this place hand on pump with enginge on it should vibrate....

If you take the chrome cover off the exup you can see it turn by turning the ignition on ... the valve opens and then closes

took the can off after messing around with the cable and got it to close on start and open when revving. took it for a spin and guess wot?!.................i got all my revs!!!!!!!!
