Hey guys,

Just a wee update, had the valve clearances checked & a compression test done also all where 100.

But the tapping sound is still there think it's further down the engine, Possibly the gear drive?!

You may be able to identify a specific cylinder with a problem by checking the temperature of each exhaust header. If one exhaust header is significantly cooler than the others, you can then concentrate your investigation on a particulat cylinder.

Hi,

Had the engine stripped down today & found that she will be needing a new crank & casings

So it looks like its just going to be far too much cost to repair, Will either need to break the bike or source a replacement engine?!

Does anybody know of anyone selling a decent working engine for a nc30?

Thanks

Tried Graeme France? He supposed to have retired but hasn't quite managed it.
