hi mike! you should be able to see through the pilot jets,from front to rear, [just]..tiny hole, make sure the main body of the carbs is clear? cheers!!

Was at an autojumlbe a few weeks ago & there were some Gsx 550 carbs which looked exactly the same as mine but had mikuni written on them. I roughly measures them & found them to be the same. Wondering if jets are available for these mikuni carbs & whether they'd work on a gk71
