The carbon has been left matt so that it can be painted over if you want to, NOT because some ozzy says they cant be arsed The tank cover has been done to keep costs down as a tank will set you back £1000.00 (I have only sold one in 3 years)

If you also read the article they want feedback on this item to see if there is enough interest to produce it.

'Tis nice, but agree with the rest that needs to be offered in gloss. If you've shelled out for carbon, you'd want to show it off, not hide it under paint so it looks like it did before, or as fibreglass/GRP would.
Only benefit of painting I can see is if a sponsor would want that, whilst saving a bit of weight to go that bit faster.
However, I don't think most people have such sponsors to allow us to splash out in that way.
Hence, good idea, but Tyga would sell more in gloss, methinks.

Personally, I'm waiting to see what comes of Tyga's new NC30 tail with pillion provision together with the Tyga/G-Force underseat exhaust. ... if anyone's wondering what to get me for Christmas!

Hmmm I think it would all come down to cost, and I think it would come in well to high for most people to buy. Like Gav says £1000 for a tank, and he has only sold one.

I brought a front fender from Gavin 2 weeks ago and can say that Tygas carbon finish is very very good indeed, but would I spend big dollar on full panels ? I don't think I would and I have spent far to much money on my bike. I carbon single seat unit ???? Fuck yes I will send you the money now, but I have a black paint scheme so it will go well.

As for buying a full set of carbon panels and then painting them up. It is a really good idea but I cant see it selling I just think it would cost to much.

matty, carbon with the west scheme (ie the white bits) over the top would look amazing!

i love the look of that bike and like that they have done a fancy top yoke for the nc35 which hopefully means one for the nc30 will come along soon too

I personally like to be a bit more subtle than all CF anyway, I'd paint it but leave for example the number boards unpainted.

yeh carbon can look a bit over the top sometimes, but aslong as its not carbon everything (like fuel caps and clock surrounds and top yoke covers etc) i like it

Whilst on the subject of Carbon fibre , and to paint or not to paint or matt or gloss finish . I have a full carbon fibre fairing for my RC30 , but there is some damage to the seat unit . I've taken it to quite a few places now and no one want to touch it , as ( and I'm no expert ) the thick clear gel coat layer has been damaged . It's not just a cast of just rubbing back and re-touching with a clear lacquer as the gel coat is too thick. Can any help or have any idea's ?
Personally I'm all for the keeping it plain and stelth look....

panteleimon not every one wants to show a full carbon bike (to me its boring) but with a design and paint that works with the carbon EG the west scheme that would look great. I would say that if you wanted it gloss then TYGA would prob do some in gloss and some in matt and you choose when you order.
