It's a 1992 NC30 so it has late model forks.....

Forks to come out this weekend to be rebuilt!

I'm doing this next weekend for seals and rick oliver upgrade - anyone able to advise what size sockets I'll need? I vaguely remember a 17" or something odd I don't have... And what do do about a fork seal driver?

If you don't have a seal driver put the washer back over the seal and slide some plastic tubing over the stanction to tap it into place, or failing that just tap it in with a decent drift.

Cheers:-) assume it's right enought that can't be moved by hand...what diameter tubing? I have a wide variety of screw drivers, a nail punch but no drift...maybe a rectangular builders pencil tapped from one end would suffice if I don't have the correct diameter tubing? I assume plastic is as to not damage the seal? Cheers :-) how are you with electrical fault finding?;-) I'm siting here studying the Haynes manual wiring without much success :-p

I used to use the old seals to drive the new ones into place- doesnt matter to much if you destroy it getting it out after as you have one for each side

There are a few good vids on youtube showing fork seal replacement well worth a watch before and.

Can't remember the size tubing you need I long ago got fed up with messing about and bought a seal driver kit, aslong as you keep the washer on top of the seal you shouldn't damage it. Wrap some electrical round the stancion too save any damage when you slip

What's the electrical problem?
