I have two acctually
One that i bought off off ebay a year or so back, that one i'm not selling. But i've just bought a complete SP engine with a cracked head. I wanted it for the crank, but will be willing to sell that box. Will let you know when i've pulled the engine apart.

Anyway evil, what you were saying. I get off the line very well thank you, although not as well as my minitwin days when i'd always jump a row. Did you see how well i did in the second race at brands? May have been a little bit of cheating there as I had to start last

Am I correct in thinking I saw an article somewhere on fitting a 400 exhaust to the 600 engine once in the 3tj frame , you swap over the sumps !!!!!!!!!!!!! and that allows the pipes to fit ???
I can't find this thread again but i'm sure i read this some where , maybe imagined it !! old age and the like . If I buy a set of 600 headers can anybody tell me what size the end of the pipes are at the link pipe end ??

The 600 engine is 20mm taller than the 400 and I belive the sumps are probably similar given the bottom ends are similar too. This would mean that you can't fit a 400 pipe to a 600 unit ...
The link pipe dia on a 600 is the same as a 400 ... unless anybody knows any different

I also remember seeing an article using the 400 exhaust on a 600 motor, but changing the sump.
If I remember right, it was a 3HE engine in a 3EN chassis, so an older generation of both bikes. This was an easier conversion as it was just bolting the new engine in and using all of the 400 electrics/engine mountings.
Further stirrings in the dark recesses of my head (was going to say brain, but some wqould disagree!

), I think it may have been over on FZRArchives rather than a magazine.

think sharpey has some 600 pipes on his 1wg, i recon if you wanted some you could swap him the 3tj ones, then he could fit the pipes on my 1wg to his, i'll use the spare less good pipes on the racer and nick the 3tj ones off him for the bike being built!
:D
thats a plan if ever i heard one!

the best plan is to buiy my bike
http://www.400greybike.cc/newforum/view ... =17&t=4987" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and then you are jamming with some Raven Racing pipes and a 4JH motor to go with it...sorted
