well it would possible be for a set of wets for track/racing, which i wouldnt really care what it looked/weighted,

I ride 092's at the moment, had 014's before them and am looking to trying a set of 090's come spring and the dunlops after that, and if there's any meet left on the 092's when i remove them il wack them back on for the winter

tbh i had no problems with the grip of the 014's but couldnt replace them when a screw decided to get im my way, the 092's are good but i find they dont lean over aswell and the front can feel a little undecided when cold, i may experiment with a 090 front and 092 rear next winter

are 17in tyres more expensive? some one told me the sticky ones are because they are certified for higher speeds (speeds a 400 will never do)

You can get wets for the std 18" rear.

17" tyres are the same price, you pretty much pay by width it seems! I don't like the idea of '92 rear and '90 front, the profiles are too different and I've heard bad things. Depends how (hard) you ride.

Forget mileage when it comes to tyres for an nc, get the grippiest. BT090's and alpha 10's are wicked, they won't leave you wanting more.

Settling for any less is like going out with a supermodel and just holding hands...!!

monkeywithaplan:

I payed:
£75 for 2 wheels.
£20 for modification of the wheels
£20 for the adaptors + 2 hours to figure out how the adaptors should be.

So the total for 2 wheels was £115 + some p+p and I then sold 1 of them and it payed a god part of the one for my self.

The reason for doing this is that I run a RVF at the track and needed a extra wheel for the rain tyre. I didn't wanted to pay £300, which was what the 17" RVF wheel costed at that time' for a wheel I would only use 2 or 3 times a year..

As far as im aware you can only get a bridgestone wet in 18" so not very good for choice.especialy if your looking for scrubs.
Think vfr4 on here had a bros wheel for sale that was nearly ready to fit..
