Re: Carbs
No they'll be OK for parts. Add your float bowl into the equation and the spare part from Yamaha and the price of repair goes up. So you might as well look for a bolt off bolt on solution.

Oh - I thought it was rounded off and still in there ... Price one up from Yamaha. Try Fowlers you'll need to give them the frame number and you'll probably need to know which carb it came from.

Re: Carbs
Frame number is on the headstock and on the V5 doc. All these bikes have only 1WG on the engine

Re: Carbs
I *think the Yamaha part number for the 3TJ1 pilot screw is 12R-14105-00. You should get the screw, a spring, a metal washer and a small o-ring.
You may find it cheaper to get it from Allens Performance. http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/
They will need to know the year and Yamaha model code of the bike (3TJ1), and the model of carb fitted, which is BDST32 (??). The same carb body is used for the FZR600 3HE but is sidedraught so has different float bowl arrangement. I have a NOS no4 carb from a 3HE here and the pilot screw is different/longer
