I just picked up a used, but tested, 07 NX6R rectifier for $29 USD to my door. Its gotta be better than the crap one that was on the bike.

If it is MOSFET, then yes...but it is a Chinese copy. No thanks for me.

How do you know that it's a copy? Often they are simply continuing production on the same production line after the original manufacturer's (who outsourced the production to china) order is fulfilled.

Because the ad says not OEM...

If you get it let us know how it turns out. I could be wrong...wouldn't be the first time.

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to determine if it's a diode or a mosfet regulator by measuring it. If it is then I'll buy one as a reserve r/r.

My RR pooed out so I'm getting a used 600RR R/R. Thanks for that link to the Superhawk forum vfrman.

No problem. I went with a Kawi RR because they were cheaper on ebay than the Honda units. That thing gives rock solid 14v all through the rev range.
