I cannot change the swingarm due to the race regulations, but to be honest its brilliant having the rear wheel so quick to change as sometimes at the circuit we need to make a quick last minute change from dry's to wet + i dont realy need any more trick rear wheels

Although i did look at lasse's swingarm conversion + id love to do the same, it looks awesome

Random interruption / question - in total how much weight have u shaved off your bike?

not sure exactly but i make it 148/149, will have it weighed this weekend, last true weighing was at 1st meeting this year at 155kg but i cannot remember how much fuel was in it at the time but it should be in the region of 148/149kg now

i remember weighing it back in 2006 + was 168 , i think it was the heaviest 400 on the grid

Impressive - mine is standard but I know (from cars) how much effort goes into trying to reduce weight and on a bike it is obviously way harder (you cant just drill holes in everything )

How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

Usually, the biggest weight savings are to be had from attacking the pie fund around one's midriff!

Seriously though, I didn't see it in your list, but I'm guessing you're already running total loss or at least a lightened flywheel if you have to keep the genny? Beyond that, getting lighter gets exponentially more expensive, that it is more than likely just not worth it.

Update on bike weight + my weight,

Bike was weighed at scrutineering on their scales + came off at 149 with 2litres of fuel,
I am 70kg, 5ft9 with no gut whatsoever so I can't realy be lightened anymore

With regards to cost, lightening things yourself is free so regardless of the gain it's worth it
