my full to reserve or just about is only 10 or 11 litres, don't know how much reserve is neva run dry.
so i get 200km out of 10 litre's so 5litres per 100km or 20 km per litre

I reckon about 200km to reserve is fairly typical for road use, but it depends on your gearing and the carburettor jetting. I get an average of 60 MPG for commuting but on an Open Pitlane Trackday at Cadwell Park recently I achieved 46 MPG. That was a pretty full-on day and I covered a total of 420km, gearing 14:42 with big jets - 120's.

Regards,

Dave.

oh right. I read somewhere that it held 18 litres.. 2 litres reserve, too much dodgey info about!

re-edited

160km (100miles) out of 13 litres is 34.97mpg
178km (110miles) out of 13 litres is 38.47mpg
200km (120miles) out of 13 litres is 41.96mpg

Stated fuel economy is 42mpg from what i've read so the last one seems about right!

I`ve been using my NC30 for commuting to work lately and with standard gearing and conservative riding have been getting 60-63mpg I have run it 20miles on reserve and the most fuel it will take is 13.5 liters

I dont' mean to discredit you either but 68mpg does sound very favourable for an NCxx even taking into account the bhp restrictors you have / had in. How did you work it out?

I use... http://www.torquecars.com/tools/uk-mpg-calculator.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to calculate mpg.

My NC24 holds 14 litres of fuel from Res -> Full and so far its done 220km (137miles) and still a bit left.. which is 44mpg so far and i'm pretty sure it'll run out soon...

Mind you that was a trip from mine to my brothers as 3am which was mostly motorway driving at 115mph, which isn't good for fuel economy :/

My GPZ 500s will hold 18.1 litres of the explosive stuff, and will dump me in the middle of wherever after 240-260 miles (more if I'm a good boy with the throttle). I'm currently seeing how far I can get it to go by riding only at 3-4k rpm in town and country roads, although she's capable of 13k rpm. I cruise at 3k rpm (as its just above where the engine is comfortable), but upshift by revving up to 4, then shifting which always puts the tacho back to 3. I do my normal speeds on the motorways, but don't play there long due to the crushing dullness.
I never measured what the NC would do when it was running... wish I had now.
Anyone tried running an NC for an entire tank, only revving just above where the engine is comfortable? You'd probably stretch the tank out quite a way :?

My nc30 will only do 125km before i have to switch it to reserve. I do ride it hard and its has a ART can and been rejetted on the dyno. Is this normal?

Probably normal if you stay around 13k-14k revs all the time lol! Before i fitted my converter to change to miles, i was getting an average of 200km untill reserves but that was a mixture of thrashing it and cruising in 6th at 6k revs to work. You must thrash it everywere man! lol 8-)
