Hi just to let you know I put a new battery on she started up full choke and turn over a couple of times then she fired back up. I left her running for a while I used to get problems reving passed 8000 9000 rpm but got her to rev back up to 14000 rpm it sounded as though something clear after that it was fine throttle repsonce is still a bit sticky some times sometimes the refs dont drop down quickly. Still think to giving the carbs a clean will help.

just step away from the drill bit in the slides.
Paul,
Curious to know your reasons for your view on this - is it that not possible to go back to std setup?
Cheers BB
Hi, only because the two times / bikes i have done it on it made the bike feel slightly worse each time.
I do believe Honda had a pretty good idea what they were doing, yet for a light pipe change and small mods jetting should be enough to make enough of a difference.
If it works for some - great, but it would be a last resort for me again.

And yes - once drilled you can't go back.

Hi got the carbs off this afternoon cleaning them up on the outside first but tried to get the plates of to see how the jets are and the screws are very very tight tried wd40 left them still no joy. Any ideas dont wont to damage the screw heads.what about a bit of heat from a blow torch??

blow torch near a carb - have a word mate
if the screws are that seized use small mole grips to start them. then replace all the screws. rick oliver does some nice kits.

Not in neutral i hope :spank:

I also agree that the slides dont need drilling but if you do ever need to go back just fill the hole with resin and drill to stock size.

just checked the back 2 and they are 122 jets thats the same as a uk spec bike as to cammo's description so should i put in 110's all round as my bike is standard also the treads dont go all the way in on the back to either.pilot jets look ok as well.
