I went back to bare metal but just scotch brighted them as i cant be arsed with the polishing but agree the bare metal polished or brushed looks good.

As allready mentioned id probably get some helicopter tape to protect them, allthough its very clear you will be able to see it on inspection so thats why im leaving mine with just the paint on, if it gets chipped i will just repaint them.

Polished looks nice. Has anyone painted theirs silver? Was wondering what paint to use?

the later bikes weren't really grey they were a grey/brown colour.
that said redditch powdercoating made a lovely job of mine in a graphite grey metallic powdercoat and finish is really good. £45 I think it cost me for the pair
