Standard can aside, are there many systems that are genuinely better than the Honda stainless system?

Better in what way? The stock system is so heavy becuase its quite restrictive as it quietens the bike down a lot.

The collars are also mild steel and rust away.

For perfomance increase many, most of them when jetted to suit will make the NC30 feel half its weight compared to a stock system in the way it pulls.

Build quality it depends on system but most if not all of the aftermarket systems are equal or greater build quality than the original system.

I did think should I sell it to someone that really needs a immaculate standard system for a restoration and I could pick up something lighter and freer flowing but I wouldn't of thought even an immaculate Honda system would fetch enough to buy a decent aftermarket one?

You can get cut systems for pennies if you want a different can.

Don't cut that system up, find a plate for it and you could easily sell it for big money to someone building a bike to original spec :peace:

I get the message, how much could I expect that to fetch and what could it buy?

How longs a piece of string.

All depends if somebody wants one.

There are literally new old stock systems floating around still in the boxes which are mint mint. Then there are those like yours.

On a good day I guess a couple of hundred quid if you have a couple of buyers fighting it out, but more often than not peopel want better performance from a freer flowing system so aftermarket systems are more in demand.

I got my mint system stnadard system for 30 quid.

Same with the aftermarket system, sometimes they fetch twice as much as the last one due to demand.
