From the bar infront of the brake lines, infront of the headstock, inbetween the left fork and headstock, inbetween the top rad and frame to carbs.
Make sure you don't get anything tangled, like I did with my HT leads......

Might not be the routing. The freeplay on the pull cable might need adjusting. When I put a new cable on mine, it stuck open until I added a little freeplay. Now I've got a little too much, however the throttle no longer sticks open.

Or it could be a bent bar and the tube is dragging on that.

I've not so much as dropped min on it's side for about 9 years now, but it's one reason I'm so paranoid about sticking new panels on. Sod's Law dictates the second I do so, something unfortunate would happen!
