Its surprisingly well mannered for a race bike, a little unnerving to ride due to the lack of any lights, mirrors, Speedo but my god does it fly and inspirer confidence.

Not sure who he sold it to, have you seen what it's been replaced with though Dave?

I thought he sold, but if true I know the new owner, and he is trying to get to one of our meet ups.

New bike NS500?

Given the amount of times the clutch was feathered when starting, I'm guessing 1st is rather tall to say the least? Reputedly, stock is about 90mph, still not quite as mad as the 100 and something on the earlier 10Rs...

Yes NSR500

First gear was long, im sure I remember Stephen saying it would reach 100+ in first gear although I never had the balls to rag it like that in 1st, I also only used the softest of the 3 maps available!

Makes sense. The only thing worse than having to pay a fortune to fix a bent bike is having to pay to fix one that isn't yours! ;-)

I use to visit him when I lived in Plymouth at GT Motorcycles then George Shites and then back to GT! He had a collection of Hondas 250's the lot. His mum bought him a dymag off Joey Dunlops nike as a present if I remember.
