Eeew they look like they've been dipped in butter scotch blamonge. Sticking with satin black probably but it will be a slow process as the dvla kindly have my licence until October! But as soon as I get it progressed I'll post done pics.

Bit of an update from me, i bought some Ford graphite grey metallic made by hycote. Have started using it today and it looks a really good match only thing i would say is its a little bit lighter than the standard engine colour, only noticeable if you look closely though but i think it may darken as it drys out properly.

Ironically, I bought some from Halfords last week & meant to add a comment here....
In solitude it looks as if it's a good match but next to existing paint, it lacks the browny tinge of the original. Not a perfect match but pretty good

So the ford colour is fairly close have noticed Toyota cars with a similar colour perhaps maybe a bit more bronzy but a lot may depend on the base coat used. My old civic was galaxy grey mettalic but was more bronze than grey imo might be worthwhile taking an engine casing into a car bodyshop and see if they can find a closer match .
Gunmetal colours seem quite popular on many new cars at the moment so there could be something closer
How about Toyota a4443 desert bronze

If you look in the local yellow pages you can find paint suppliers that will knock up spray cans.
I had some done for a zx6 and got a perfect match.
They can even add colour after its been used e.g on first spray the can was a little too gold, took it back and had a little more brown added, bingo.
Cost about 8 quid and good up to about 400 deg c.
