So, you'd need to fit an NC24 oil pump to a 30/35 to use it properly?

Yes, otherwise there is no pump for the oil cooler.
And it already has been confirmed but they are oil-cooler take offs for the radiator.
Don't forget this NC13E engine has its roots on the older VF400 NC13 engine.
The NC13E which started in the NC21 had an oil cooler.. the cases are the same near enough on all models.. the bottom part for sure.
The heads are different but they are not part of the casting.
For some reason it was decided not to use an oil raidator on the JDM bike, maybe cost? maybe it was deemed unneccsary.
I head a rumor, so perhaps just some speculation a while back that the main reason it was included on the UK model was that the ZXR400 had one and they didn't want Kawasaki to be able to use it as a marketing ploy for their bikes.
Who knows. Perhaps they just had a lot of stock left over and send them to export

Oh and yes.. if you obtain an NC21/24 oil pump and radiator you can drill the holes out and fit the oil-cooling radiator.

There are also two pumps on evilbay for about £30 posted.
As for the fiche, the one in the docs section on the main website is missing the page that details part numbers before 21! However, it's on CMSNL....:
1, 2, 3 etc...

12 and 13 here, at the very least
http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-vfr400r3-199 ... ml#results
There may be other parts required too, but I'm not qualified to give a definitive answer!

This is a standard JDM NC24 pump.
Mark: I'm surprised the seller that sold you the pump didnt include the pipework, its not good for anything else.

The actual pump and internal pipework is the same on the UK NC30 and the JDM NC24. In fact the only differences between both the NC30 and NC24 oil pump fiches are:
NC30 has a cord clamp under one of the sump bolts which the NC24 hasn't.
NC24 has a 6x23 separate washer between the oil pump sprocket bolt and the sprocket, NC30 has none.
NC24 sprocket bolt is 6x16 hex bolt, NC30 is a 6x12 washer bolt.
Pressure relief valve is 15220-kt8-000 for NC24, MR8 for NC30.
Apart from that, all the parts are shared between the two.
It does beg the question what difference there might be in the pressure relief valve? Does the NC30 run a different oil pressure?

UK NC30 - 71 - 85psi
NC21 - 76psi
NC24 - 62psi
Not sure what controls the oil pressure, thought it would be the pump but the part is the same.
However, I know of several people who have the NC24 pump in their JDM 30 without issue.

The oil pressure switch regulates the oil pressure by sending a signal to cut the oil pump power when it reaches the setpoint.
