^^^ Thats just it, the bike in that vid does actually look pretty good, mainly because the headlights are gone and the paintjob lends itself well to the design. Bit like Mike normans bike, done right they can look rather nice but as mark said too many people just slap it on half arsed and paint it in some ill fitting design.

I like the T10 front you do, now you just need to do a redesign on the rear. A little smaller and a little smother would get my vote.

I think with a complete kit, the tail doesn't look too bad, although it doesn't quite go with the shape of the tank. A standard shape bike with just the tail looks silly, IMHO. The one in the vid gets away with the look because it has been done well, painted well, and isn't a bodge job like some you might see. Some people say the maggot is silly loud and sounds rubbish, but it doesn't seem that bad to me, although I don't think I'd risk one myself. I prefer the twin stack if I ever did swap the system.... As for swinging the tach to 16K in neutral (presumably the needle builds up momentum and carrier on for a split second before falling back if you rev it like that as I'm sure even the HRC box only allows 15.5K), well, it sounds good but I'm glad it's not my engine!

Well after some serious thought. I've decided to buy an RVF400 with the stock fairing with a Repsol paintjob. Picking the bike up next weekend. I think I actually prefer the look of the stock fairing... or it's just that the Repsol livery looks awesome lol.

Well guys. I got her last week and have only been riding her for about a day. And the fairings decided to fall off on themselves I think they were the cheap Korean ones that were poorly fitted I was going down to the store to get the proper bolts for them to fit it properly but the fairings fell off and got pretty much destroyed in the traffic. Good place to get good stock fairings with the repsol scheme ?

New OEM fairings will cost you about 2 kiddneys and a liver....


I am willing to be corected on this but I don't think you will get them in the Repsol scheme unless you buy a set and then get them painted yourself at even more expense.

The Chinese fairings (whole thread here viewtopic.php?f=23&t=13972) are actually pretty good for the money in terms of looks etc but do need a little bit of fettling to get a good fit. You could pick up a full set of these from E-bay in the Respol or any other scheme.

Think i'll just buy some Tyga Carbon Stock fairing for the front and bottom and leave the rest repsol, Wouldn't look too bad I guess.

Tyga are not taking any orders for the Carbon nose cone at present, manufacturing problems im told.

Your cheapest option would be to buy a complete new chinese kit. But if willing to shell out all that money on carbon panels (that are not available at present) why not just buy this complete kit http://tyga-performance.com/site/produc ... ts_id=2322

Because my wheels and tank are orange. So repsol is the most logical option at the moment. Also from my experience with this cheap fairing just falling off i'm not keen on buying another cheap chinese one. Another option is to buy http://tyga-performance.com/site/produc ... ts_id=1504 and get it painted with the repsol theme.
