I don't think so.

Honda / whoever do extensive testing to find the limit point of the brake disc, they then set the minimum thickness ABOVE this level to ensure that the discs should always be replaced when they are in safety zone.

You shouldnt have any issues running them upto the minium thickness zone, providing there not damaged.

Agree'd. I'm not saying it's wise to run below min thickness but there will be a decent safety margin built in.

I can't see them having reduced stopping power. Might even have more due to the larger area because of the wear lip lol:grin::grin::grin:

They don't ever bother measuring disks at all the garages I've had bikes tested at. They prob can't even spell micrometer, let alone use one.

Just change them mate or walk!

Alot of mechanics can spot nakered discs a mile away, and usually only dig out the mircometer if something looks nakered! Well all the ones i know do anyway...
But yeah lessweight go faster, or just make the holes in them bigger aswell..............
