Why not get some lockwire? Someone's fitted some to the sub air cleaner hoses on my airbox. OK, for some things that my be a little impractical if they are on and off regularly, but it would be a quick and easy way of doing lots....

All up and running again!!
it was the vacuum hose that was kinked but because of the position of the nipple (fnarr fnarr) I had to whip the carbs off which meant bodywork off as well etc....
took an hour and half start to finish, the carbs were really easy after taking them off last weekend to do the jets and stuff.
