sorted it was the carbs nothing to do with a weak spark!!!!

So yet another "professional" mechanic worth recommending :roll:
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Did you replace the coils on their say so ??

On my old XS110 I was told it was definitely my coils that had gone

Turned out it was the little piece of wire that flexes in the advance/retard unit

Long story but this is my mates SP not mine and yes he replaced the coils as part of the process.
Thus endeth the miserable saga and the fun starts in spring! It's a bit slippy at the moment.
