I dunno if its just mine but the clutch on my nc30 is one of the lightest nicest clutches on any of the bikes i've had and thats quite a few. Id try some chain lude down the cable, or buy a new one.
You could take the cable off ond see if its stiff first before you buy one but if it is tight, id just get a new one, you can free them off for a bit, but there never as good.

Shitty cables can make it heavier give it some lube!

well i do have tyga shorter levers and and brand new cable.....it feels more like its stiff because of the clutch spring, rather than the lever and cable though. first nc30 iv owned so dont have anything to compare it too, its just stiffer than other bikes iv owned.

I dont think they are as bad as you are describing (hard to tell really)
I had it on my 125 for a while and just put up with it till the cable snapped one day under the strain!
Once i had the new cable it it was lovely!

id need someone who can compare mine to theirs to tell, i just think mine is silly hard to pull in. iv tryed adjusting it looser but it then feels like it might not be disengaging the clutch fully, the short lever prob isnt helping.

Just been out in the shed to try bikes one after another.
The NC30 is certainly heavier but not by much compared to my SV650.
It is also heavier than my friends RGV and CRM but smaller engines so id assume lighter clutch because of that(?)
I cant imagine the levers make THAT much difference not unless there only an inch long

Can you feel any roughness in the cable?
Try moving it slowly to tell if it is rubbing.

The clutch is a pretty heavy action standard.

Harder again when an extra spring is used.

Sounds pretty normal then, considering I havnt rode a bike in nearly a year prob just me being clutch hand weak too. Lol

Buy a bag of cement, pour some down your throat and harden the fuck up.

How much shorter is the lever you have than the standard one? Can you get all your fingers on it? I would have thought that if the lever is shorter it will make the clutch feel a lot firmer, and if you can't get all your fingers on the lever that would make things worse. If you are concerned that there's more to it than the lever, why not try to find a standard one and see if it makes any difference?
