I dont' like the look of the NC30 NS400R hybrid, something just doesn't look that.

That R6 / R5 whatever it's called looks fantastic though.

The Spark fairing is gash too...

The work..you cannot see it - the motor is in, but no pics! Anyone can fit a fairing, some ZXR forks etc.

A lot of effort for a bike that won't be quite the bike either of the donors are.
I've seen it in the flesh and it's a stunningly well executed conversion.

You have a proper NS400 though don't you though mate!

Spark fairings are wank..

Is it the same guy that was supposed to build Dave's NSRVF?

I'm not keen on the VFR/NS hybrid either. I've got a ns400 Rothmans that I'm doing a 450cc upgrade with the standard frame, but using either a rgv vj22 swingarm or a mc21 swingarm and forks and with subtle body mods.

Modified pipes. NS400 only had three pipes as standard.

how does the ypvs rd350 compare to the ns400? i know there is an extra cylinder but on paper the ponys look pretty similar. there is a few HP differance from stock, both making peak power around the 9 grand mark too.....

thoughts?

The NS was quicker in standard form and handled better too. The build quality of the NS was a lot nicer too, the Yamaha's looked cheap and old fashioned in comparison.

RD's were easier and cheaper to tune though, hence their greater success on the track (in this country anyway).

the standard NS was hideously compromised by its front expansion chambers and ATAC system. Terry Shepard and other tuners would junk the powervalves and spannies an favor of their own spannies which then made much better power.
