Quick update I have the first few samples this morning they look a little rough as someone done them as a favour so can't expected top quality. I will upload pics this evening.

Here we go. First attempt.

the usual problem
Image

The pieces needed plus loctite and/or araldite one adapter threaded one side with 5.5mm hole to about 15mm deep and a 4mm pan head with the head filed down to suit 5.5mm hole.

Screw in the screw with loctite into the adapter

And then fit the adjuster into the hole with araldite. You may need to pump as the air iinside will struggle to come out.

As you can see this is slightly longet than OEM, but just trying to fix a problem.

I have kept the thread lengths the same, but due to the diameter of the sleeve there is no need for the washer

Once the araldite has gone off fit the adjuster. You may want to put some heat shrink on to make it look tidy and for extra strength squeeze it in a vice to grip the original sleeve and the flexi shaft.

Hope this is of some use to you I have a couple of rough samples will need to get some more M4 screws, But if you'd like some let me know.

Hmmm, I don't think that'll work with my adjuster on the FCR's as I'll need to use a longer cable. Aw well, thanks for the info

Cheers
Luke

Well I can make the adapter as long as you want. Do you just have threaded bar there at the moment?
