Re: RRR-ll nc29 anyone?
Both of the models would have been sold together in a crossover period, honda might have had to update the part on the earlier bikes that were still for sale. This would point to a regulatory issue to me rather than just a voluntary part update on honda's behalf.Durka Durka wrote: For me the complicated bike was the 35 as it appeared to use the same part number speedo revision on both types, why would that be, surely an updated bike would not go backwards with the earlier speedo then at a later date change to the later design that was on the earlier bike.. dunno

Yep thats the point (regulatory) I tried to put across in the the other thread. While the nc29 could easily have been put down as an update over time as it appeared to be just a speedo update, the nc35 was odd in the way it was on both models on all years. Which lead me to believe perhaps the 29 R and R2 was also brought out a similar way. The quest continues. Maybe I should try to contact Masanori Aoki who helped develop the bike, Im sure he would know.Cammo wrote:Both of the models would have been sold together in a crossover period, honda might have had to update the part on the earlier bikes that were still for sale.
