TBH i think the iconic flagship blade died when baba san stopped designing it, to me the new blades seem like tame uninteresting bikes that honda cant be bothered to put any real effort into, doesnt even deserve to have the word Fireblade asociated with it.

Your exactly right mo, mr honda died in 1991 and besides the original FireBlade and the NR750 there have been no groundbreaking machines made since. And both of those ive mentioned above where being developed while he was still alive anyway!

Yup as far as I have read its all down to cost. V4's are so much more costly to design and produce than IL4's so that's why Honda keep pumping them out, Honda are not a risk taking firm anymore, gone are the days of mad ass NR500 race bikes and trick road bikes such as the RC30 and RC45

:plus: :( Hate to read it but I agree on both your opinions...no real headturners released by honda in the past 15 years. Therefore with this seasons motogp litre V4 specs...maybe maybe maybe they will do something about it :|

My bro pointed me to these footage...also V4 engine specs but I know these are non-four strokes but the guys have some playtime here...from the great "decade" of engineering by Honda

Hopefully these guys will let out the honda collection hall RVF bikes soon for a spin on their howly ground.
