can understand where your coming from in a way i am 5ft 9 and 75kg wet and sometimes feel like a monkey on a stick on the the nc but these thoughts of discomfort are soon forgoten when out on the 30 theres something about them as a package despite their age that i enjoy owning one for and have no intention off selling it. the nc has so far outlasted a fireblade cb1300 and will still be around when i change the striple for something else. dont sell it unless you really need the cash now , would wager that a year or so from now you'll hanker after another nc30 if you got rid.

Havent read all the thread cos my battery is dying...but to put in my 2 pence, my fellas 1st bike was the nc, he's had 2 blades since. He loves his new blade but when I first got my nc30 he had a go and loved it!!! Altho he said he loves the power of his blade the nc is so much fun and he forgot how much he loved his.
So, my advice is put it away for a bit and at a later date a lil play will remind u why u kept her :)

The NC30 is the 2nd most fun bike I've ever owned. I'd regret it big time if I sold.

Declan, how can you ask a question like that and expect an answer other than keep it, track it or store it, from a bunch of 400 nutters.

Now, I on the other hand felt that I'd outgrown (or more to the point, out-modified) my old NC to the point where I couldn't ride it. I always kept the 400 in the back of the garage while I had other bikes and took it out every now and then for a blast, but even with a good NC under me, it felt like it just wasn't quick enough for me. I wasn't appreciating the bike for what it was. Anything from 2000 onwards will out handle and out brake any NC on the road and at that point that's one of the reasons I decided to sell mine on. Well, that and the fact that I wanted to do up my bathroom.

I ended up stripping the bike for parts and sold the bike as a pretty standard one. With the money for the bits I spent that on the CBR and the sale of the bike went into the house to get some of the bathroom paid for.

My advice is to keep the bike if you can, buy something else and see how you get on as you know you can always go back to the 400. I am however building myself a VFR trackbike as I wouldn't put the 'Blade on the track and what better weapon of choice than an NC30.

It doesn't work like that my friend. I'm riding on 999s brakes, pvm wheels etc and it still feels like an old bike. But I like it, the common folk call it 'character'

I could never sell the nc30....i bought a newer bike and i love it but it has just free'd up time to play with the nc! Ive stripped and rebuilt mine constantly and its become more like an old friend now....i love the way its rides and feels but have to agree it doesn't always feel like that when you first get on it! The bike i bought has very similar ride position and does 165-170mph, out handles the vfr by miles despite all my upgrades yet the vfr has heart and soul! my other bike does too but I'd only sell if i had to! Everyone sells and then comes back for a reason! Maybe im not the right person to ask though as ive already bonded and couldn't part with the duc either....once you've loved and cared for something you cant just let it go!!! Be like giving up a child!

maybe it's time for an NC35 then?
