screw the money!
It's about prioritising.. if your are very thifty.. even on minimum wage given enough time and determination yuo can save enough to get forks.
It's about whats best for the bike.. all of the above I named will make your bike better to ride AND faster if you goto a track.
Forks will cost near the most amount of money and give NO benefit.

I did it to my bike.
It improved it loads as the forks which were fitted were the early spec ones which had been neglected by previous owners.
I found it to handle soo much better after the modification. But I could probably have achieved this with a fork kit from Rick O.
I used a complete Ducati 749 front end (wheel, forks, yokes, brakes, etc) and fitting kit from forum member Riley.
Yes, it is expensive. And I didn't have much else to spend the money on at the time!

I haven't done this for an NC30, but I did put a ZX636 front end on my KR1. I acquired yokes off ebay for about £25, bars for about £15, the forks I got from San Diego for £150, Calipers and MC (also from the US) also for £35, ZXR400 front wheel for £30, NOS EBC Pro-Lite discs for £85 and the forks engineered with Ohlins internals for £250. Makes a great track tool and looks cool too

i did it too,(ducati) honestly its a fuck about but i do think it improved the bike and do it properly and it looks bad ass,
i however only did it because i was re-building the bike after a smash and figured why not! like Smev id have been just as well to re-furb the old right-way-ups but they were all bent and messy :D

Pay heed to the advice from Neo and you'll never stray too far from the right lines

Cheers dude. :)
Maybe I should elaborate a bit more on what I put.
Sure, If you have knackered old K forks and upgrade to a brand new overhauled set of NC35 forks they are going to be loads better.
However, it will cost an arm and a leg.. you can achieve great forks by just servicing the original NC30 ones.. espeically if you have the later forks (which I believe you do) there the same as the NC35 forks but RWU.
If you have done everything else then sure. go for the looks. but it is purely asthetic, and at the moment your bike is very hit and miss with running, a rear shock and decent tyres are bigger brakes if your going fast are goign to be much more of a wise investment! Will handle better and stop awesome.
No point having a jazzy looking front end if your not able to ride the bike well becuase of the poor suspension (lots of nc30 rear shocks are very tired by now)

hmm. i suppose your right. but my shock feels pretty fine. its not too hard or too soft while going over bumpy roads etc. feels just fine.
