can you swap plugs front to back? Are you happy that the carbs are seated right? That the jets are screwed in properly? That the diaphragms have no rips? That the earths are clean? The coil have nice and snug connections?

Bikes are simple beasts...they can be worked out no worries. It is the philosophical shit like "Why are we here that takes some proper work... :poke: :tits: :up:

:D:D i havent swapped plugs around but like i siad the problem doesnt always happen...for instance it never happend today. the carbs are seated in properly. the jets are screwed in properly and the diaphragms are in perfect condition...the connections to the coils are all perfect!..

so..when does it happen?

Is the bike hot or cold? Are you going fast?

Have you been going slow through town for a bit?

it happens when i start the bike up first....it then goes back to normal..and when i ride it at an average speed of 30-40mph it splutters and goes to two cylinders....wehn i ride slow in town. it works fine. but it backfires alot and flames come out....but remember.. the running on 2 cylinders only happend to me once....didnt happen again after that...another thing....wehn it did happen. i turned my bike on and off and the problem was fixed. and didnt happend ever since that.
