Re: rearsets and damper
If your showing them how right it was then your better off not having the damper. Overhaul the standard forks, R6 shock conversion, use a later brake master cyclinder, braided hoses, HH pads and fit some supercosa's ... your good to go.

Re: rearsets and damper
hi evil i will try it without, i used to have one on my other 400,but that only slapped a little when racing at the isle of man,and only on the bit from ginger hall to ramsey,im planning on doing the thunderbike series next year after reading kayla had got it sorted for them to be allowed,so maybe on short circuits it will be ok cheers for the reply though

Re: rearsets and damper
The R6 forks stick up through the top yoke quite a way and just miss the screen ... not sure about the mirror brace.

Re: rearsets and damper
the rear height wont be changed if you put the forks throught the yokes so that there is the same length as the fzr forks 'below' the bottom yoke. but they will stick up a lot! a set of sp forks with springs set to your weight would be a good start, oil will depend on you and will need to be tested. a starting point would be standard air gap but in a heavier oil.

Re: rearsets and damper
Opps - I see.
The R6 shock is opposite to the forks in that it's too short and needs an extension piece made up. I think they're height adjustable though - Kayla makes the extension piece and probably knows about the ride height too.

Nice T shirts too

Re: rearsets and damper
my mate had a 3tj....back early 90's he had to get the jack up kit....so i have been looking at kayla's r6 shock conversion...just wondered if when making it he added extra to jack it up or if you also need his dog bones aswell....i'll ask him.
