iv'e been playing with different lamps for the tj for a while now and don't think you can use H7 as they only have 2 terminals so you either have no dip or no high beam,
their used in more modern machines like the honda V-tech for instance which has 4 H7s
2 either side = 1 dip and 1 high on each side

these people should be shot, selling bit's that don't even fit in the machine there being sold for (Edit: by) bloody 1/2 wits
like similar sites which sell capless side light lamps for the 3tj and it hasn't even got side lights or anywhere to put em WTF

The bulb is a Koito MH6R - 0488

The cheapest I found was this on the bay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-Ha ... 0541761865
but the listing has ended ... maybe give them a ring
Thanks for the info - I've sent them an email asking if they can still supply them.

it would
i haven't come up with a solution yet which keeps the original tj lights,
tried the H4s standard and trimmed, and H7s no good at all
because these all direct the light back into the fitting, where the light is reflected forwards
the tj lights project the light forwards, so no reflection, hence the reason there so dim,

Yep I did think about trying the YZF750 Regulator - but really don't know enough about these things :? and didn't want to risk knackering or frying anything else on either bike if the ratings are too different? Kayla thinks she has a spare one and has very kindly offered to post it on. The other thing is my battery is completley fried, so until my new one arrives in the next few days I can't really do much. :(

Thanks for all the info and advice! :rocks:

Thank you Kayla . . . up and running once again

Next mission has just cropped up . . . Steering head bearings need doing now tho! duh!!!! Felt strange on the front end turning into corners so liffted it on the side stand and turned the forks to find they kind of lock when straight ahead and not smooth - so assuming I've done too many wheelies :sshh: and need new bearings.
