i bet it would as you would need to flatted it down by hand first its so pitted!

:grin: Thanks for your comments guys? Yeh the swinging arm took me a few days to remove the rough cast, heavy duty wet and dry and much elbow grease works fine, followed by some scotch bright and more wet and dry paper.. the frame and swinging arm both got the same treatment, I did this in my living room, plenty of dvds and cups of tea helped? lol. i dont really polish it up now, i just lightly run over the alloy with scotch bright and that leaves a nice brushed alloy look, autosol is abit OTT for me?
