This one is made from 1mm thick plastic. I'd still go for two with one painted.

Did you post that pic just to tease meDrunkn Munky wrote:I think i'll make the covers and see how they fit, then maybe stop being such a fussy git![]()

I agree with everyone else Tony. Definately at least try it with the cover first but no need to leave the light in place. I'd make the cover and paint it rather than using vinyl (infact I did this). You can colour the sides then making it more difficult to notice the join and I'm sure you'll do a better job than I did.

Ok im gunna go with covers and see how it looks, steve where did you get that 1mm plastic from, the lexon stuff i have is great but is hard to manipulate over 2 contours if you get what i mean.
Martin, i recognise that seat unit
What did you use for yours and how did you go about shaping them?
The right light is definatly going regardless and mark, i like that idea of yours to vent the cover to keep my battery and electrics cool

Thought you might
I used an old visor. Heated it up in the oven to get it flexible then moulded it to the nose cone BUT it was an utter bitch to get right so I'd try and get something thin and mega flexi that'll just form by bolting it in place.

Thinking about it maybe a pinlock wouldn't be big enough!

Have a look at the mod I did on the link below, it may help with both the headlight and fairing plugging.Drunkn Munky wrote:Hmmmm i kinda expected more peeps to say fill it in. Ok theres a couple of small details i should have included in the first post.
1. This is not going to be a everyday bike, stressed motor and lots of lightweight impractical parts, its just a toy and the need for a 2nd headlight for practicability is zero. Agree!
2. Im never selling it, or the the nosecone Good lad!
3. It just looks right Couldn't agree more! I think i'll make the covers and see how they fit, then maybe stop being such a fussy gitGet on with it & fill it in then!

Ive got a couple of things here i can try, first is some 1mm lexon sheets, very flexable although havent tried to shape it yet but i dont hold much hope for it, second is some 3mm amber coloured perspex the same as whats on the am-pm bike, thats gunna be pretty hard to shape tho i think but im gunna give it go tomorrow and make my mind up what to do.ibby4585 wrote:ibby4585 wrote:Just an idea what about the pinlock insert they come in different colours and are thin?

As I recall my first one was made out of 1mm thick R&G mushroom box lol The one fitted now is the pukka HRC item but looks almost the same!
I didn't have any trouble making mine fit out of 1mm and it bended to the shape of the nose very well.
