hopefully alex's needles and emulsions should be hear tommorrow, i have 120 jets looks Similar Dyno jets they have 120 RD (anyone know what they are?) on the top i have 4 of the matching same ones im going to stick in.
the needles all slot snuggly into the emulsion tubes and done appear to be ovaled? what do i need to measure to find this out, any idea of needle dimensions etc?
should the slide springs all be the same length will the +/- 1mm make a difference?
going to recheck the pilot screw tommorrow, will set to 2.25 (2 + 1/4) to make sure.
ive refitted my vaccuum hose from cylinder three just incase i decide to refit my tank vacuum tap diaphram.
ive blocked the hose off with an M6 allen bolt.
i just want this midrange perfect, and its still not right with the 1 washer in as previously mentioned so im
all the slides felt slightly lubricated with petrol and the tunnels and slides feel a little gritty friction etc, i have a subfilter fitted btw.
advice on the above Qs would be great Rick

Everything looks to be in the right place, and the specs look fine.
You can use verniers to check if the needles are oval, take 2 measurements at 90 degrees to each other, checking at a couple of different lengths along the needles (the tapered and the straight section).
The difference in slide spring length will affect the fuelling, but insignificant really. I've never seen a set with identical lengths.
It might be worth looking at whether all the butterflys are synched too?

ill measure the needles later, ive found some drawings on akhara website for sizes etc,
whats the difference between the A & B needles?
i know the carbs are ballanced perfectly i did them with morgan carbtunes about a month ago with uber pikey and he was taking the piss because i adjusted the 7mm screws with my hands now of these fancy angled driver etc.

I didn't take the piss, I merely stated "you had girl hands" and that a mans hand wouldn't fit in there fact.

Hmm, carbs back together, and thats my lot for the night, kids are asleep, and i cant be arsed to work for the next hour or so trying to refit and then end up starting later tonight,
alexs needles are in 120 RD (similar to the dynojet ones) are in, i believe these to be old Rick Oliver ones, he said hes used to sell ones like this, but his supplier changed there suplier etc etc. these came from the carbs i currently have on there i beleieve.
anyway
the needle doesnt sit in the bottom of the emulsion tube as i expected, its sits oposite to it like a
T i fitted a tube to one of the inlets for the slides and blew in and watched with the torch as is slide up the shaft
so fingers crossed that when i stick them back on tomorrow all goes well and it sorts it out, would be nice!
that all folks
Rick
