It will help you a lot.

Just get a set of vaccumn gauges, drill bits work ok to an extent but they don't take into account vacuum levels in the carbs, which vary.
It's a doddle with the morgan carbtube.. attach 4 houses and turn 3 awkard screws, especially when you consider your supposed to balance / check the carb balance every 8000km.

P.s. As a quick tip when it comes to refitting the float chamber bowls I didn't get any sealant so instaed I sanded down the jointing surface with wet and dry which gave me that little extra in the old seal, works a treat.
Nice one.
Since writing that guide I've had the joy of using several of Rick Oliver's replacement float bowl gaskets. Great substitute for the original gaskets and much cheaper. I think this is much preferable to using gasket sealant as this can sometimes contaminate the float chamber interior.

I was also scared of that, that's why I decided to skim a little of the bowl surface of so that the old seals had chance to re-seal if you know what I mean, I wouldn't do it often though.

I have put it all back together ready for the MOT, I have taken pics of her and posted them in the new members intro forum for you to have a look and see what you think.
She's filthy dirty (just how I like em fnar, fnar) at the moment but will be cleaned up soon.
