I have a 73a SP and the ally spacers that fit between the rubber carb manifold/mount and the head were removed by Suzi, not sure if it affects power but seeing as its free you could take them out and see if it alters power delivery and getting rid of the twin system will save a load of weight, it weighs a ton!

Factorypro kit was for the 73A/bandit 89-97 (config 3.0 kit) and to be honest after all the time i`ve spent in the past `tuning` carbs and fitting Dynojet kits etc,etc.... this was by far the best to fit/set-up and the results are excellent.

Inlets;

Mmmmm,it did`nt even cross my mind,but now you`ve mentioned it....Please step in and correct me if i`m wrong but this is my thinking ;Longer inlet tract gives more swirl/velocity so more midrange/torque. Shorter inlet will give a screaming top-end?

When the other job`s are done(this weekend hopefully) i will experiment and see just what the differences are between the two, Dyno-time?

Well,

Not being able to resist yet another option,inlet spacers(thank`s Chris) i`ve now removed mine in the interest`s of well....simply because it`s an option and my finding`s are as follows; with the spacers removed i`ve noticed a slight reduction in mid-range (very small) but the motor feels stronger up top 12k plus and now easily pull`s through the limiter if you let it (16k). I`ve now got a slight hesitation lower down the rev range if i crack the throttle wide open where as before it just pulled fluid like... I`m thinking clip height but i`ve not had the time to experiment yet. Also if your stupid/crazy enough to run small filters removing the spacers give`s more than enough room for the filters and stops the filters being crushed against the frame. Not really a major concern but it makes it look a lot neater and seems to be easier to work on.

Got lucky as well and now need to swap out the radiator (cracked) plus i`ve still got the output seal and clutch push-rod seal to do yet but my learned friend ordered the wrong seal hey-ho.
Still a viper`s nest of wiring to sort yet too,never mind i`m loving it really.....

Im amazed you could feel any difference but the SP had no spacers so it was worth a go.
I'd hold back on the rev limit or it will spit its dummy very quickly and the hesitation could well be fixed by dropping the float height a mm or so- had a similar thing going on on mine till i ran the floats at 15.5mm.

I will post my SP up when i get started, just getting it running before stripping it and rebuilding. Keep the pictures coming. 8-)

M-Max box now fitted and seems to run fine on the stand(much cleaner),although not due to the M-Max i think it was due to the collection of frayed/corroded wires i have found/repaired mainly G.P.S....i hate wiring with a passion!

Not road tested yet i`m waiting for a lightweight battery(run out of room for the standard battery)from my buddy.
M-Max box just plugged in between the c.d.i. connections but it has left the two spare wires not connected...i`m thinking if you plug them together it will introduce the restriction again? Any thoughts guys????

looking awesome man! sorry for being stupid..but the blue canister on the radiator....what's that for? :D got a gsxr 400 r..and thinking of getting one..even thought I have no clue what it is. haha

Hey,
Shock conversion(k7) on the rear took more space than the standard item so i had to move the expansion bottle out the way. The blue bottle is it`s replacement(space is at a premium!)

do you use the japanese manual when working with the bike? or nothing?
